hello, I’m Lyndall

The person you’re trusting matters most

You’re not choosing someone to paint a room. You’re choosing a person to sit with you in a tender, vulnerable season — so here’s who I am.

Mental Health Social Worker

Member, Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)

In person on the Gold Coast · Telehealth across Australia

I came to this work because I believe no mother should have to struggle through the hardest season of her life pretending she’s fine.

For years I’ve sat alongside women in the thick of new motherhood — the exhaustion, the worry that won’t switch off, the strange grief of losing who you used to be. What I’ve learned is that the difference between suffering and recovering is so often just this: having the right person in your corner.

As a mental health social worker, I bring a particular lens to this work. I see you in context — not as a list of symptoms, but as a whole person inside a family, a body, a story, and a system that doesn’t always make space for mothers to fall apart. My job is to make that space, and to help you find your footing again.

I work warmly and without judgement. You can cry, swear, feed your baby, say the thing you’ve been too ashamed to say out loud. Nothing you bring here will shock me, and nothing makes you a bad mother.

A note on my credentials

I’m a registered member of the AASW and am working towards Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW) status, which enables Medicare rebates via a Mental Health Treatment Plan. I’ll always be transparent about my qualifications and what they mean for you. (Placeholder wording — to confirm with Lyndall before launch.)

How I work

What it’s like to work with me

Specialist, not generalist

I work only with mothers in the perinatal period. It’s not one of many things I do — it’s the whole of my practice.

Warm, never clinical-cold

You’ll find a real person across from you: kind, steady, and impossible to shock. No jargon, no performance.

Evidence-based

Gentle doesn’t mean unstructured. I draw on approaches with strong evidence for perinatal mental health.

At your pace

You set the speed and the depth. There’s never pressure to share more than feels right in the moment.

Shall we have a gentle chat?

The best way to know if I’m the right fit is simply to talk. A free consult call is relaxed, warm and entirely without obligation.
